Thermodynamics is a branch of physics which focuses on the heat and temperature and how these two aspects are related to energy and work. The behaviour of these quantities is controlled by the four laws of thermodynamics which are explained in terms of microscopic constituents by statistical mechanics. The heat is an element that is study by thermodynamics and it can be defined as the energy which is transferred from a system to another as a result of thermal interactions. The amount of this energy transferred in each process is defined as the total amount of transferred heat without considering any macroscopic work.
