Three are the main type of performing arts. These are theatre, dance and music. Theatre is the discipline which focuses on acting by using speech, gesture dance and music. Dance relates to human movements used to entertain an audience in a performing context. Music is a form of art which combines pitch, rhythm and dynamic to create sound. Based on the instruments used, music is divided into different genres such as folk, jazz, rock, hip-hop and pop.
Also, filmmaking can be considered a form of non-graphic art. This discipline consists of the process to create a film and includes different stages: the initial story, the screenwriting, casting, shooting, sound recording and reproduction, editing, screening and release. Filmmaking usually takes place in different parts of the world, representing different economic, social and political contexts.
