Kortext Platform Launched in Partnership with JS
by Roberta Nicora

Kortext, the UK's leading digital learning platform and etextbooks provider, announces the launch of its digital learning platform for the UK Higher Education market in partnership with John Smith’s.

Kortext offers on-line and offline access to key etextbooks from multiple publishers, combined with a set of digital smart tools that provide the user with functionality beyond anything a traditional textbook can offer. Kortext provides solutions for both individual and institutional purchasing of prescribed etextbooks. John Smith’s will be working with its university partners to introduce the benefits of the Kortext digital learning platform for faculty and students. The Kortext digital textbook platform has been designed to link in with the Aspire bursary management system, which is rapidly being adopted by universities in the UK. In addition to providing access to etextbooks, lecturers are able to use the Kortext service to request and access review copies of textbooks and help plan their courses for delivery on a digital learning platform.

Kortext is device agnostic, providing the student with a portable learning environment.

Howard Blythe, Head of Marketing for Kortext commented:

"The launch of this digital learning platform is the culmination of extensive research around providing institutions with a delivery mechanism for etextbooks that is both practical for the student and economically viable for the institution."

Alan Leitch, Campus Director, for John Smith’s added

"The addition of Kortext to our Aspire bursary management system is crucial to the future provision of etextbooks to our UK student community."
