Kortext is a digital textbook platform provider. With the majority of core etextbooks and eContent, there is a great opportunity to work with lecturers and institutions to design and deliver eContent that is customised for their courses and modules. Kortext and the John Smith Group will work with lecturers on the selection of content and with publishers on the delivery of these customised eresources.

Andy Alferovs, President of Kortext, added

"Demand and use of eContent in higher education is increasing dramatically and Kortext’s solutions are helping to deliver this enhanced digital learning experience providing both on-line and off-line (downloaded) access."

"Through our partnership with John Smith’s we can now help manage the whole digital supply chain for our University customers; from the provision of digital inspection copies of textbooks for University lecturers through to full classroom digital course solutions including integration into learning management systems such as Moodle."

JS Group and Kortext are new to the Joint Consortium framework agreement.

Susan Wright, Head of SUPC, commented:

"We are delighted to see new entrants on the framework. This provides our members with not only greater choice in service, but also greater competition between suppliers, delivering better value."
