Human Geography is the branch of geography which focuses on people and their communities, cultures and economies. As well as this, the discipline concentrates on the interactions of people with the environment.

Human geography includes different core fields which are cultural geography, development geography, economic geography, health geography, historical geography, political geography, population geography, settlement geography, and urban geography.

Cultural geography focuses on the analysis of cultural products and norms. It describes and analyses how languages, religions, economy and government change over the time in a place.

Development geography is the study of the planet and focuses on people's standard of living and quality of life.

Economic geography analyses the relationships between the individuals' economic systems and states, and the biophysical environment.

Health geography is the application of geography to the study of diseases, health, and healthcare.

Historical geography is the study of the geographies of the past. It focuses on the human, physical, fictional and theoretical aspects. A typical topic considered by this discipline is how a place has changed during the time, including also the interaction of people with the environment.

Political geography is the study of how political aspects influence spatial structures.

Population geography concentrates on how the population is distributed on an area. As well as this, it focuses on the growth and migration of individuals.

Settlement geography is the study of the urban and rural area and focuses on the spatial, relational and theoretical aspects of the settlement. It examines areas which have a concentration of buildings and infrastructures.

Urban geography is a discipline which concentrates on cities, towns and areas of dense settlement. It focuses both on site and situation.
