There are just SEVEN days left to get your nominations in for the Times Higher Education Awards!
The Times Higher Education (THE) Awards seek to recognise and reward those in both academic and professional services across the university for their dedication, and hard work to academia.
We know it may not be a memory you want to return to, but the nominations should refer to the activities of the wild academic year of 2019/20… We know, we’re sorry!
You never know, your little trip down memory lane could be the award-winning nomination. It was an incredibly difficult year, but we saw first-hand the excellent response from those in academia to ensure the continuity of learning, especially librarians.
That said, if you don’t know by now, we’re sponsoring the THE Award for the Outstanding Library Team. This award recognises outstanding work in library and information-services departments. The judges are expecting nominations that contain ‘the sector’s outstanding Covid response work’, and ‘inspirational stories that are unrelated to the pandemic’.
- Explain how your library team has personalised the delivery and support of library space, services and content provision?
- Describe how the team developed the library’s digital environment to benefit users?
- Detail how your team exploited physical and virtual space to provide a complementary, blended service?
- Describe how your team’s work improves on standard practice in the sector and addresses new and emerging challenges and opportunities?
If yes to any of the above, please do submit your nominations!
This year’s ceremony will be the celebratory finale to a two-day THE Live event which, pandemic restrictions permitting, will be held in separate wings of one venue, the newly refurbished Hilton London Metropole hotel.
You have two actions today, eager reader, submit your nomination now by clicking here, and please do keep 24 and 25 November free in your diaries for what should be an unmissable event.
THE Awards entries close on 9 June 2021, and full details can be found at www.the-awards.co.uk.
